What Causes Swollen Ankle And A Lump In The Groin Area?

My mom had 2 heart stents on Monday and came home Tuesday evening. She is having swelling in her right ankle and foot. It is the side that they attempted to do the stent in , but it wouldn t go , she has a slight knot at the groin area. Could she have a blood clot?
