What Causes Swelling With Redness And Throbbing Around The Cuticle Of Nail?

I have swelling redness throbbing my fingernail is red especially at my cuticle my right index finger is constantly throbbing and I have difficulty with range of motion I have been doing peroxide soaks and applying antibiotic cream but it doesn't seem to be getting better any advice ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain there is a possibility of cuticle infection or there can be an ingrown nail leading to inflammation and pain..
I would suggest you to to take a course of 7 days of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen,apply a steroid ointment and triple antibiotic ointment over the swelling and do cold compresses..
Clean the area with antiseptic solution..
In case if there is pus formation you may need drainage and consulting a Physician and getting treated accordingly will help..
