What Causes Swelling With A Bump In Anus?

Hi, i have been feeling soreness around my anal hole and when i touched it I noticed one of the four little rectal opening walls (the lips of the butthole) was swollen. While in the shower I felt around to see it there was anything else abnormal and i felt a little bump on the swollen part so i lightlly squeezed it and blood had squirted out. Now my glutious is bleeding constantly. Can you tell me shat exactly is going on?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

First, if you were having slight blood in your stool during bowel evacuation and swelling, soreness around the anus then yes it might be because of internal or external haemorrhoids.

It needs to be rechecked by anal examination and proctoscopy test by a general surgeon if you have still any doubt.

The internal hemorrhoids might cause the blood during stool passing.

You should go for routine blood with electrolytes, stool examination with proctosopy by an experienced surgeon to have a correct diagnosis and the positions of piles.

You may require,

1) Antibiotics (quinolones like ofloxacin or norfloxacin with antiprotozoals like metronidazole or ornidazole) with
2) Topical application of steroids with lignociane creams or ointments to reduce pain and inflammation with
3) Hot seitz bath,
4) Laxatives or purgatives to have a soft and effortless stool evacuation.
5) Vitamin b complex with folic acid to have a rapid healing of ulcer.

You must consult general surgeon for complete history, thoroughly examination and treatment for suspected piles and anal fissure.

Thanks and Regards,
