What Causes Swelling, Stiffness And Pain In The Knees?

I have had over the last two year different kinds of knee pain mostly with the knee cap. That resolved with exercise and physiotherapy, but I now have pain in both knees on the inside. Very difficult to move after sitting, cannot squat, walk without pain and stiff and moderately swollen most of the time. A diagnosis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It can be due to Osteoarthritis mostly. High serum uric acid may also cause pain n swelling of knee joints. Get an x-ray done (x-ray bilateral knee joints-AP,Lateral view),complete blood count n Sr.Uric acid.

Meanwhile, take an analgesic tablet like aceclofenac n paracetamol combination, and some joint mobilizers containing glucosamine and diacerin.

Kindly review with your blood and x-ray reports.
