What Causes Swelling On Foot After An Injury?

hello I stepped on a stick in the garden and it punctured my foot on Wednesday May 21st. the injured site looks really good (no redness around it) I have been treating it with a soak in antibacterial soap and warm water 3xs a day, I have also been using neosporin 2xs per day. I am a little concerned because my foot keeps swelling. It does not hurt anywhere, just keeps swelling when not elevated

HI
Thank for asking to the HCM
I really appreciate your concern for this look in case of injury the first concern would be fracture part and this need to be ruled out and for that you need to go for x-ray study if the swelling is there and persistence, second is infection in my opinion better to see the doctor for a clinical examination, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
