What Causes Swelling On Eyelid?

I had alot of pain on my eyelid for an entire day with a little round bump on the edge of the eyelid, thinking it was a sty about to happen, I didn't seek medical attention, the next day and four days later, my eyelid was completely swollen. I used erythromicin opthmalic ointment and the swelling went down, and after six days it finally looks mostly normal, with the exception of a very small bump. Should I still go to a doctor, being that I later found a large strrange looking long legged spider near my bed?

Hello
It seems from the history that you had inflammatory swelling involving the gland of the eyelid.
Since it has rexpo died to use of antibiotics it is probably infective one. The presence of bump indicates blockage of the ducts of the gland of the eyelids resulting in accumulation of secretions.
Try applying hot compression it will help in resolution of the swelling. If it does not resolve do consult your doctor for further treatment.

Thank you
