What Causes Swelling Of The Joints ?
I have a birth control device called implanon. I have had it for 9 months now and I recently started having swelling in my joints. I researched that it was a side affect of implanon but my doctor thinks it's arthritis. I don't have arthritis on either side of my family and I am only 23 years old 5 feet tall and weigh 155 pds. What do you think I should do?

After going through your description, my advice would to find out the cause of multiple joint arthritis (poly arthritis) you may get following blood test - serum RA factor, ANA test,Anti CCP antibody test and serum uric acid.
