my bottom lip has been swollen for about 3 days and I accidently scratched it and now its scabby. I was sick with the flu before this I was better so I went to work. Then became sick again and my lip started to swell again. I ve taking benedryl and Carmax for my lip since yesterday is this something I have to wait out or is this something serious.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Swelling of lip can be due to trauma or allergic reaction.
There is no history of trauma to the lip so swelling is not due to trauma.
Allergy can be against some exogenous material like pollen, dust, cold, cosmetic etc.
A clinical assessment is required to assess the swelling.
Thus, consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
