What Causes Swelling Of Ankle After Scratching The Skin?
I have a bite on the back of my ankle. It s so itchy. I got bit Monday afternoon and scratched a lot so I broke the skin and now it s the size of a dollar with red on the outer ring and yellow white on inside. Very swollen and think other part of my ankle is now swelling. What do I do

Hi. The scratched skin got secondarily infected. Is it hot to touch? Give rest to limb, take oral antibiotic like cephalexin and apply local fusidic acid cream. It should some improvement in 48 hours but you might need to continue it for 7 to 10 days. Hope it helps
