What Causes Swelling In The Buttocks After Total Hip Replacement?

2 weeks Post-op total L hip replacement, posterior approach. 44 yo male relatively healthy. Had some swelling with the surgery (normal stuff) but now getting swelling high mid to lateral left buttocks. No redness, no heat around area, and no fever. Just hit me as strange

This is postoperative hematoma or fibroma and it may persist for up to 3 months. This should not worry you,this is benign and won't cause any consequences.
