What Causes Swelling In The Arm After Injecting Heroin?
I shot up some heroin in my lower arm and I didn t miss, i was able to draw blood back and it didn t hurt taking the shot.. soon after my lower arm started hurting and it was a little swollen and felt really hot. The next day it was even more swollen and even more red and hurt more.. I iced it a few times and when I woke up some of the swelling was down and it wasn t as red..but once I got up and movin and working, it seemed like it irritated it again and it got just as swollen and red as the day before. Today is the 3rd day and it looks and feels a tiny bit better then the day before.. if I continue to ice it and stay off of it, will the swelling and irritation go away and it will heal itself, or is this a more serious matter when I need to go see s doctor and get anti biotics? I only used a needle one time in this particular spot.. it s not like I ve hit that area multiple times.
