How Can Swelling Around A Cut On The Ankle Joint Be Treated?
I cut myself shaving Saturday morning pretty bad by my right ankle bone. It is now day 5 and I have noticed that my right ankle has become swollen. The cut still hasn t scabbed over and the cut itself still looks fresh and white although the area around the cut is a pinkish red color. Help?! What can I do to treat it? I feel silly going to urgent care for a shaving cut.

The wound is possibly infected and inflamed you need to take antibiotics and analgesics to reduce swelling and pain and regularly dress the wound.
