What Causes Swelling In Colon After Having An Angiogram?

i had a coronary angiogram performed Friday. No blockage was found and I am doing fine except for my abdomen (colon) is quite swollen. The groin site is doing well. Just wondering if the procedure had anything to do with my colon being so swollen...Thank you!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

How did you come to know colon swelling? It is an internal organ, how did you identify?

It won't cause colon swelling. So, post angiogram complications are nausea, vomiting, contrast induced kidney injury, anaphylactic reaction etcetera.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
