What Causes Swelling In Clitoris With Painful Tiny White Bumps?
Hi, i woke up this morning and my clitoris was a little swollen and i noticed tiny white bumps under the hood. It hurts and I don't know what it is and what i can do. I have to mention that i had (non penetrative) sex yesterday and my partner was a little rough on the area. Can you help me please?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your query. Clitoris is a delicate part of vagina with rich blood supply & is sensitive to pain.In your case trauma /friction caused by rough sex seems to be cause, The white tiny white bumps ,suggest infection - which can be either fungal infection( where there is associated itching), or bacterial ( if it is painful & burning on urination) To manage- - keep it clean & dry.apply antibiotic ointment mixed with steroid ointment ( available over the counter) few times in a day. This should resolve in a couple of days. - If the problem does not respond/ is increased/ is associated with vaginal discharge--you need consultation of a gynecologist for specific treatment. Many times treatment of both partners is needful. Thanks.
