As per your complain the symptoms of bilateral facial swelling with a lump under the jaw which can be swollen lymph nodes seems to be most probably be due to viral infection and is known as MUMPS PAROTITIS leading to inflammation and swelling in the Parotid Gland which is a major salivary gland.. It is a highly contagious infection and you need to be careful as you can communicate the infection to others.. It can be diagnosed with clinical symptoms as well as investigations like Polymerase chain reaction and serum amylase as it is increased in mumps.. There is no curative medicine for it and if it is diagnosed the treatment can be supportive like taking tylenol for pain , taking plenty of fluids,doing altenate warm and cool compresses over the swelling and taking sufficient rest..
