What Causes Swelling In Calf After An Injury?

I bumped knees with another person playing lacrosse. The upper portion of my calf close to the outer portion of my knee is swollen and very painful. It hurts to walk or place weight on the leg as well as use the stabilizer muscles to rotate my leg/knee back and forth.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that you might have got soft tissue injury.
I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined by an Orthopedician. You can take pain killer like Ibuprofen twice daily after meals along with serratiopeptidase and an antacid for relief from your symptoms. Give rest to your leg.
If the symptoms persists, an X-Ray/Ultrasound may be needed.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
