Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have immediate swelling immediately behind my Achilles tendon in the form of a small round ball. This has appeared in the last 48 hours however I have had extreme pain in this same area for over six weeks. I have not injured or bruised this area. What could be the possible cause and what can be done about it?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the sudden onset of swelling without the history of injury then it may be due to infection and condition need to be kept under observation, Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day can be tried, along with this it is advisable to get done the x-ray of affected area, hope this information helps.
