What Causes Swelling And Redness On Face After Having NyQuil?
I took an adult dose of nyquil cold and cough and my face started swelling, turned bright red, was very hot, and my lips started tingling. I took some benadryl and it helped reduce the symptoms. I ve taken Nyquil in the past but a smaller dose. I am allergic to hydrocodone. Is there a connection?

Brief..You should stop promptly Nyquil.
Detail..dear as it can be allergic reaction to Nyquil,and to stop further reacting you should stop to have this medicine.Hydrocodon is synthetic codiene and Nyquil is having acetaminophen and dextromethorphan.It is possible that you are allergic to both medicines.
You have may be increased IgE and mast cells in blood,get C.B.C and discuss further with your doctor.As you may need to know about adranaline kit uses, and note down the medicines which you are allergic too.

It is possibly the cough suppressant or pain killer because the other common parts of the medication is an anti histamine.
None of the components are related to hydrocodone.
