What Causes Swelling And Painful Blisters On Forehead And Eyelid?
I have a spot on my forehead that began as a blister around a week ago. A few days after, the spot, about the size of a quarter, began to hurt and swell. We are now on day 9. It now itches around it but it is not healing. It looks like there are multiple tiny holes in this spot. I also have 2 spots on my eye lid that just popped up 3 days ago. The new spots are significantly smaller, but hurt much more that the larger spot on my forehead. It almost looks like bee stings on my eye. What could this possibly be?
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
