my friend had a stroke that affected her right side paralized aslo had some bleeding in the brain. Recently she has been having constant swelling in her right leg feeling pain and starting to have very very little movement. Why is her leg swelling and the fact that she feels pain in that leg does it mean she may be able to walk or move that right leg again?

Having sensation after stroke in any of the affected hand or leg is good, and pain is also one kind of sensation, swelling in leg or hand is common complain after stroke and it also be associated with pain many times, your patient need to do regular physio therapy exercise with that further movement activation can be done and along with that due to muscle work and stretch patient will feel good in terms of pain as well as swelling. Take care... But at any time if your patient Complain for regular headache or blood pressure fluctuation do consult a doctor. For this I suggest all stroke patient should check blood pressure regular mainly in morning time after sleep. And if reading is more then 150for higher one then do check with your neuro or physician. Take care
