What Causes Swelling And Itchy Rashes On Chest, Arms And Neck?
Hi, I started breaking up and having rashes and a bit swollen around the one side of the neck and few days later rashes around my chest, and arms that looks a chicken skin. I check on the food I had, but nothing out of the norm and it s very itchy, what else could I check before going to the doctor. thank you kat

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling and itchy rashes on chest, arms and neck. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like viral Infection, chicken pox , shingles , impetigo , psoriasis or side effects of certain medicine. It could be due to allergic reaction and improper hygiene. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes to reduce redness and inflammation , take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and avoid food like nuts and seafood. You should avoid touching or pricking rashes. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment , antibacterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis .
