What Causes Swelling And Discomfort In Labia Minora?
Hi I m 42 yrs old. I m not sexually active. Yesterday I noticed throughout the day, when I urinated and wiped myself an area was uncomfortable but wasn t painful. Over the night I noticed more sensitivity and realized that the labia minora (left side) was extremely swollen. There are no bumps I can see or feel, just pink and swollen. It does not hurt to urinate, but I m very careful wiping. I m waddling to walk as it s painful and sensitive when clothes rub. I m not in pain while laying down, but would like some suggestions to treat and bring down swelling. I don t want to go to the doctor but if it lasts past Monday I guess I will. This is the first time this has happened. Please help!!
You have got infection in labia minora most probably(as it is only one side) in skin or minor glands (sweat or sebum) just below the skin. It could be an infection in hair root too.
You need to take a course of antibiotics (amoxacillin 500 mg three times a day) and pain killers (TRAMADOL) for 3 to 5 days. I would like to advise you to visit doctor too for bettassessmentss disease and its treatment.
I wish you a rapid recorecovery.
