What Causes Swelling And Bleeding From Brown Mole On Face?

hello I have had a small brown mole on my face since birth it is usually no problem but a year ago it swelled up and was bleeding I went to see the dermatologist and she said if it happened again to see a doctor I am going for an appointment tomorrow but don t want to waste their time from the picture I will upload do you think it is dangerous or is it nothing? it is painful and just seems to be getting bigger

Understanding your concern.

Mole on your face since birth was painless as per your query, but now since 1 year it started bleeding and showing swelling which could be because of irritation , pricking of mole unintentionally , it can also occur while hair removal from that area due to which sometimes hair remain embeded and cause swelling and irritation.

But if bleeding and swelling keeps on incresing and it persists without any relief, borders of mole start becoming roughned and start changing color means one side of mole is dark and other is light then it could be melanoma which is skin malignancy.

I would suggest you to visit your dermatologist and get biopsy done by taking speicimen from that area. So that you get proper diagnosis and cause of bleeding. Mole can be easily removed permanently from skin by surgical procedure such as laser treatment , cauterization.
