What Causes Swelling And Bleeding At The Site Of Having Groin Hernia Surgery?

I had a groin hernia surgery when I was 12. I am now 27 and my scar has been swelling and bleeding for a month or 2. I went to the er and they said it was just an infection that happened to be underneath my scar. I took the antibiotics and now there is no puss but it still swells full of fresh blood and bleeds out when any pressure is applied. What could cause this?

I really appreciate your concern, such condition need to be investigated because herniation could be possible again or it could be late complications, if it is not pus still for safe side better to have antibiotic, imaging study is must to get done, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
