What Causes Swelling And A Dominant Red Lump After Bitten By A Horse Fly?
I was bit by something. I believe it was a horsefly but the reaction was not like normal ones I have encountered before. Like this others, this bit was a small red bumps but then a day or two later the area swelled and a target like effect (such as the "bull's eye" when bit by a deer tick with lyme disease). What is going on? What could the problem be?

1. Cold fomentation with ice pack
2. Dexamethasone 0.5 mg twice daily per oral for 5days
3. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 5 days
4. Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice daily if pain occurs
5. Ranitidine 150 mg twice daily for 5 days if you are taking ibuprofen
