What Causes Swelling Along With Severe Pain And Inflammation On The Elbow?
Hi Dr, I recently had an injury at work which led to severe pain, inflammation and minor visable deformation of the elbow. After extray and ultrasound scans the finding by the sonographer was that the right extensor tendon origin is thickened, with an uneven echo texture, and a small partial tear 4x4mm. My employer has been very uncooperative and evasive also I believe he was not holding a current workers comp insurance policy and due to his avoidance I was wondering if these symptoms are commonly caused by lefting and pushing of heavy furniture and excessive work load. Kind Regards Abby.
As you have said your ex-tensor tendon had thickened due to which your elbow got swollen, inflamed and tender. For this you have to take some antibiotic like tab cefixime 200 mg or tab cefadroxyl 500 mg twice daily after meals along with tab combiflam or tab biozobid-plus three times daily after meals for sever pain with cap omez or tab pantop twice daily empty stomach. You can also use powergesic-plus or volidup gel for local application as it also relieves your pain as well as inflammation. Don't lift heavy weight and also avoid sterneous work until your elbow will be fine enough to do so.
