What Causes Swelling Along With Itchiness In The Ear?
Weeping ears, itching, crusting for one year. Appearance of outer ear is red and swollen. Three doctor visits and one ENT. All say to use triamcinolone, aquaphor, tea tree oil. No improvement. I have soaked a cotton ball in warm saline and used warm a compress. Have to use cotton in ears so they absorb the fluid. Very irritable and hard to sleep. Right ear is worse, but condition is in the left as well. Ringing in the ears is also present for approximately one llyear.

With previous treatment that has failed to help, I will like to see a culture done to identify if this is a bacterial or fungal infection or something else.
