What Causes Sudden Sharp Chest Pain?

I am a 15 year old girl,i am very active in sports.i have had a very sharp and sudden chest pain,it would be anywhere in my upper chest. I have to breath really shallow for about 10-20 seconds.when i went to my family doctor they sent me to have a ekg and x-ray of my chest.when i got the results,he said it might be plurisy,but its probably not.and he said i am very healty but my chest still hurts at times.and i dont want to go back to a doctor that doent know what i am trying to explain to them!

Likely to be muscle spasm / generally from tension…
Occasionally, nerve irritation from thoracic spine
X-ray and EKG are a must to exclude underlying lesions / normal reports are reassuring

Over The Counter (OTC) Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) / muscle relaxants / anxiolytics will be useful in the meanwhile...
