hi I have been facing sudden sensori-nural hearing loss for one week , I have been taking methyle prednonsole from saterday and had intratympanic instillation of inj dexamethasone yesterday , now I want to know what are the next treatment that I should follow and where to go for the treatment.
As per your query your husband have haering loss in let year which could be due to many reasons but it seems to me that the symptoms occur probably due to punctured ear drum or severe infection in your ear. It could be sensorineural hearing loss and acoustic neuroma condition. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like CT scan and examine ear with otoscope. You should avoid touching and pricking it with sharp object. Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics at least or 10 days along with anti inflammatory , anti allergic and analgesic . Doctor may also recommend you patching of ear drum , tympanoplasty or hearing aid .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
