What Causes Sudden Increase In Weight With All The Blood Tests Normal?

I have just had a blood test and am anaemic altho everything else was fine - glucose level, cholesterol, thyroid, liver etc. I have put on 12 lbs in 4 months altho on same diet (my heaviest for 30 years) and have had a couple of v slow healing ulcer/insect bites? I have also had a blood test showing I am deficient on Vit D. I currently take Pregabalin and Effexor for chronic pain. Have you got any idea what may be going on?

Hello,
Besides medical disorders ,medications like anti depressants are culprits for increase in weight. In my opinion Effexor should be the culprit in your case.
Do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day and observe dietary control so as keep a check on your weight.
Discuss about it with your treating doctor.
Thanks
