What Causes Sudden Elevation In Heart Rate?

My resting heart rate the other night was 158. It shot up out of no where and I couldn t stand or see right. It felt like my heart was going to explode in my chest. I m a 31 year old female who smokes. This is the only time it ever happened. But I thought I was having a hear attack. It also hurt a little. And 2x in the past year I had signs of a TIA. Did I have a heart attack? Is something wrong with me? Should I be worried?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, I would advise you to get done some test like EKG, ECHO, stress cardiography if these are normal then no need to worry, else what you are feeling is not the sign of TIA, or cardiac disease, just try to control your thoughts even you can see the cardiologist and dicuss this hope this information helps.
