What Causes Sudden Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath?

My husband is in excellent health..non smoker and drinker. Not overwright. He is 68 years old. All of a sudden today he felt light headed and SOB. Just did not feel good. We took his BP...160/74 on average but what scared us...his pulse was 37 to 40. Off to the ER we went. Placed on a monitor..having PVCs....lots of tests....ECG, Chest Xray and bld.work. Finally after consult to cardio. He was sent home to be seen on an out patient basis for stress test and some other tests. Pulse is still 40 and he does not feel any worse. Do you agree?? How worried should we be. Activity as tolerated and if he faints,whatever...call 911 webwere told.

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
I do understand your pain and discomfort.
AS per his history is concerned please follow-:
1)Check his Hb% if low correct it
2)Do ECHO and angiogram of heart to ruled out coronary artery blockage as you have already done other tests so far.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks,
I find this answer helpful
