Hello.
I am Dr Mittal.
There are three parts to your query which you seem to want to know about- heart problems, thyroid and
vertigo.
I will try to answer them one by one.
1. Ideally you need to be more specific about the exact heart problems that are present. If there is a family history of heart problems, where you are considering heart attacks, yes she may be at risk. However, if she takes good care of herself, she need not necessarily have a attack herself.
2. Hypothroidism- well the blood levels certainly suggest mild
hypothyroidism. It is not curable. But it is well controlled if she takes her medicines properly and regularly. The thyroid medicines are best taken on empty stomach in the morning.
3. Spinning of the head may be a positional vertigo. That is why she gets it temporarily, probably when she looks in one direction or bends her head in one direction. You will need to visit a
neurologist to perform a Dix Hallpike maneuver. if the condition is confirmed, medicines can be initiated like betahistidine.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
Let us know with the results of the tests for further suggestions.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal.
