Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had crawed across the bed, gotten up and sudden severe cramping pain ran circles around my left leg from the knee up into my lower stomach area. I made it two steps to the wall with severe pain total anxiety when it hit. It subsided where I could move a few steps then hit again, I was in the bathroom. It wasn t quite as severe but still cripling. I made it out of the bathroom but it hit again and I made it into the computer room to sit down. Your talking 12 steps. Each time it subsided I tried to make it to the front door to let my dog out but when I made it to the door I bent over with the cramping again. Severe muscle cramping feeling. Then I made it to the couch and relaxed and the pain subsided. Still had some soreness left from it for awhile but started felling tired and weak and developed a headache which tylonol 500mg doesn t seem to be helping. Nausia right know, 6 hours later with mild headache.
It can be thrombophlebitis or varicose vein. Apply crepe bandage and avoid long time standing. Keep your leg raised with pillow and you can take analgesic tablet and apply Thrombophob ointment. It does not be rubbed, just apply locally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
