What Causes Stuffy Nose?

Hi. My 6 year old daughter is always stuffy. No drainage or itchiness, just stuffy and a noisy eater...has to have her mouth open. She is a standout in soccer...has great cardio. But, when she is just living her normal daily life, she is always sniffing. What do you think it is?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
Your daughter's problem can be due to adenoid hypertrophy which causes stuffy nose or recurrent upper respiratory infection. It will disappear when she goes to puberty. But if it disturbs her too much then an adenoidectomy is advised after consultation with Otorhinolaryngologist. Hope this may help you.
