What Causes Strong Smell Like Chlorine From Nose?

I have chronically inflamed sinuses. Yesterday I began to notice a strong smell inside my nose that reminds me of chlorine. It is very unpleasant. I have used a Neti pot with a saline solution, but the smell persists. Could you tell me what this could possibly be caused by? Thanks!

hello,
it is a common complication due to chronic sinusitis due to inhabiting bacteria and improper drainage of sinuses..
i would advise you to take a course of antibiotics and steroid spray like beclamethasone..
this will solve your problem temporarily but permanent treatment would be FESS..
plan for surgery and get it done..

hope my answer helps you
if you have any more queries i would be happy to answer..
I find this answer helpful
