Hi, I am 37 yrs old, I have a sudden pressure feeling in my left side of my neck and under my tongue when I start eating my dinner after fasting long hours through the day. This makes me feel like too much blood going up in my head. Also, I can see an enlarged vein in the left side of my neck too. Could you please tell me what it might be? Thanks
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden pressure feeling in left side of my neck . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to be occur due to acid reflux . There can be other reasons also like sore throat , angina and post nasal drip . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may take history and order endoscopy , blood test , x-ray of upper respiratory track . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor or may refer you to cardiologist or ENT specialist in case of angina or sore throat respectively . For now do warm saline gargles and avoid eating spicy , acidic and heavy meal .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
