Hello dear,
I understand your concern.
In my opinion there are many cases for absence of periods other than
pregnancy like thyroid abnormalities ,polycystic ovarian disease(PCOD),anaemia etc.
As the
ultrasound is normal the PCOD is ruled out.
Kindly get a thyroid profile done to rule out thyroid abnormalities.
Also the hormone levels like LH and FSH are helpful in knowing the cause for absence of periods.
Also get HB done to rule out anaemia.
Nothing to worry.Once the cause is treated the cycles become regular.
If the
estrogen is normal the progesterone hormone tablets help in inducing the
menstruation.
If there is no response with
progesterone tablets then the problem might at higher level rather than at ovaries level.
Hope this helps.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha
