What Causes Stomach Swelling, High GGT And BP With Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Hi. Am male of the age 54. i have high blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis. I have just gone for a lab test to check on my lever since am taking so many drags and my tummy had swelled and my gamma gt level is 102 which is high. so am wondering why it high and why has my stomach swelled?

I agree with you on the fact that liver disorder or biliary tract disorders can cause such symptoms.

You should know that gama GT is a liver enzyme, which can result elevated in liver an biliary tract disorder (including biliary stones, inflammation, infection, alcohol intake, etc.).

It can also result elevated from different drugs. What is your actual therapy?

I would recommend besides kidney and liver function tests, performing an abdominal ultrasound to examine your abdominal organs including the liver and biliary tract.
