What Causes Stomach Pain And Lower Back Pain While On Mobic?

I have been taking codapane forte for 12 months now to relieve osteoarthirtic pain in my kneesI have had stomach pain associated with constipation over the last 3 weeks so my doctor advised I go off the codapane and get onto Mobic anti inflammatories.I have done this but it seems to have made my stomach pains worse to the point where i now also have bad lower back pain as well.I am not sure what I should do now.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have stomach pain and lower back pain while on Mobic . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , gastritis , IBS , acid reflux or ulcers .I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test , endoscopy or ultrasound . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor , antibiotics like ornidazole along with anti inflammatory . For now eat light and non spicy , eat small , avoid eating sea food as you mention in query and frequent meals and take antacid after every meal . Doctor may also refer you to urologist to rule out UTI . Apply warm compresses to lower back and abdomen and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
