Last 5 weeks i have felt pain in stomach after eating it seems emapty and hollow and stometimes it rubbles. Have been stressed so when I went to see doctor she prescribed me with Omeprazole and been taking it for the past 12 days but still feeling the same and today has been worse. Please help!
Hi. Thanks for your query. Felt pain in stomach after eating- seems empty and hollow, rumbles some times. Seen a Doctor who gave Omeprazole, no result in 12 days. My thoughts: Since Omeprazole has not given any benefits, the problems is more than just acidity. I would advise you the following: X-ray of the abdomen in staning position. Ultrasonography. Tests of stool, blood and urine. Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon. All these will point to a particular cause and the diagnosis will be made. If there is an infection, a course of an antibiotic and probiotic will solve your problem. If the cause is surgical you may need a surgical intervention.
