My partner, a 74 year old caucasian male, has had stomach cramps for almost 2 months. They last only while he is sitting or standing and go away when he lies down. They have increased in severity. He went to his primary care physician and had an ultrasound which found no masses, etc. He has no appetite, is eating very little. He has had a very healthy diet in the past - roughage, good vitamin-rich foods, salads, no abuse of alcohol and no drugs. He eats almost no sweets. Now his pains and lack of appetite are getting worse and he has a very bad taste in his mouth. I have tried getting an appointment with a local gastroenterologist and also ones in the nearest larger town and they can t see him until May of 2018. It is to the point that it is interferring with his life. Any ideas, suggestions?
