General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Yes, I concur, pregnancy is one of the least likely possibilities in your case. We will have to adequately rule out any hormonal imbalances to be the cause which can occur due to various factors like the birth control that you are on, at times even sexual activity can trigger a slight change in hormone levels, stress, weight fluctuations, and so on.

Wait for a few days, and then go about a home pregnancy test to check and rule out or confirm pregnancy. Make sure you use an early moening urine sample during the test. Once pregnancy is ruled out, you can be sure that a hormonal cause is most probably the issue here. Your symptoms should self resolve if this is the case, but if they do not then you can visit a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Best wishes.
