Went to local convenient care this morning for a second/third degree burn on my right cheek, which has already blistered and opened. Nurse Practitioner prescribed twice daily application of Silver Sulfadiazine cream. The first application felt cooling and comfortable, but turned yellow and bubbly on the burn itself and a purplish-grey color on the surrounding skin. Upon removing the cream and cleaning the wound, as directed, the wound bled quite a bit, enough to run down my face. The second time I applied the cream, it stung/burned a bit, but has not turned as discolored as the first. Is this a normal reaction for my skin to be having?
