Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain difficulty in opening the mouth and stiffness along with pain in left back jaw area can be related to causes like jaw joint problems also known as Temporomadibular joint dysfunction commonly referred to as TMJ/TMD..
It can also be due to infection occurring in one or multiple teeth in the area that can cause swelling of tissues and cause stiffness and pain in jaw along with restricted mouth opening.
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Panoromic x-ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to relieve pain..
Do mouth opening exercises and try to open your mouth as wide as possible under limit of tolerance and repeat it atleast 3 to 4 times a day..
Take soft diet..
Massage the side of face with round gentle movements of finger tips..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
