What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Right Lower Quadrant?

Hi, I ve been having waves of a stabbing type pain in my right lower quadrant of my abdomen. It comes and goes and is it s worse when I have a full bladder. At first, I thought it was a UTI but I don t have the burning symptoms while urinating. It is also bad when I sit down quickly.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Right Lower quadrant abdominal pain could be from appendicitis or from colitis...

USG abdomen needed here for further work up

Physical examination for eliciting tenderness if present ruled out

CRP can be done here as initial work up

You might prescribed antibiotic for these condition if needed

If repeated appendicitis is the cause than appendix has to be removed

If USG suggestive any growth like lesion than colonoscopy done
Sometime even stone on lower ureter can be responsible

So depending on cause specific treatment planned

Consult physician for examination

Take care
