Hello dear Understand your concern Mirena IUD contain progesterone and long acting contraceptive. Spotting and breast tenderness are common side effect that occur during the use of mirena. All these side effects due to hormonal dysfunction. Do not worry regarding the minor side effects. But if symptoms are very troublesome then consult the gynecologist and take the decision whether you have to keep it or remove it. Pregnancy test is negative suggests no pregnancy. Advice: Maintain pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash. Wear full padded bra, gentle breast massage with evening prime rose oil, apply warm pad to reduce soreness. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
