What Causes Spotting In Pregnancy?

Good Morning! I am 8 weeks 4 days pregnant, began spotting on Christmas morning. Doctor didn't seem too concerned when he called (we see him today after lunch). It began as brown (old blood) then 2 more times as brighter red, then yesterday (Monday) it was on and off all day darker red...and through the night and this morning it was what I would consider a med-dark red...I don't have cramping, have had all the symptoms of pregnancy, including already showing...so I am just beyond myself. Are there indications on an ultrasound that would have shown problems? We had one done 2 weeks ago and saw heart beating, etc...he said looked good. So I am just trying to wrap my mind around this...

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your heatlh concern.
Absence of cramping is a good sign.
At 9 weeks, you cannot show !
As long as the ultrasound scan is normal, showing a good cardiac activity, there is nothing to worry.
take rest, take prescribed medications and avoid stress and intercourse.
Take care.
