Dear Patient, Thank you very much for your question. However, it is very hard to diagnose such a condition without really examine the patient. As you mentioned, vigorous masturbation can cause irritation on glans penis that can give such a picture. However, infections can cause inflammation of glans penis which is called as balanitis and sometimes both glans penis and foreskin are inflamed. It is called as balanoposthitis. To confirm whether your condition is related to an infection or mechanical irritation during masturbation is up to a doctor. So, my advice is to consult a physician soon. If your sexual partner is tested and free for sexually transmitted infections and you do not have casual sexual encounters you do not have to worry. However, if you have pain while urination, frequent urination, discharge from penis, temperature, swelling of lymph nodes contact a physician immediately to find out the infection and take the appropriate treatment.
