What Causes Spot In The Eye?

I have a spot in center of eye, where I am not able to see- not dark, but looks like someone erased the words in center of vision. Eye doctor today said the picture shows fluid behind retina, but I don t have any of the reasons that would be happening. Could a burn from cooking juices have created that? What are other possibilities?

it is a scotoma. it s vascular effect on retina. you may consult retina specialist for proper diagnosis. eye should be examined, refraction, fund us examination should be done. the opacity can be right from cornea lens vitreous or retina. once it is detected then treatment can be planned. at the time of examination you can give the history of burn while cooking.
